Last year we helped almost 17,000 clients seeking immigration and settlement assistance. At our front reception we are averaging an amazing 4000 calls a month – that's a call every 2 minutes!Along with a staff of 35, who between them speak over 20 languages and have a combined 200 years of experience working at Immigrant Centre, our organization could not offer the services it does, without the expertise and commitment of our BOARD OF DIRECTORS .What did immigration look like look 66 yeas ago? In 1946 a total of 71,719 immigrants came to Canad,a of which 4,615 came to Manitoba. A higher percentage than in the next few decades as many were looking for farm land Of these newcomers arriving in Canada.

Serving Winnipeg Since 1908 Western Paint has been family owned and operated for over 100 years. It all started in 1908, at 521 Hargrave Street, right at the cross street of William in Winnipeg’s Exchange District National Historic Site and its collection of turn-of-the-twentieth-century architecture. Western Paint still operates from this central Winnipeg location, conveniently serving all of the city’s decorating needs. Although we started as a paint store, we eventually started offering a wallpaper segment to better serve Winnipeg. As time has passed, Western Paint has seen more additions in its operations to cater to all segments of decorating such as flooring, custom colour matching and custom finishing. We have had a wonderful time over the last 100 years and we look forward to the next centennial!
