In recent years, with the exception of an NCC Barrier-Free project and office fit-up services for the federal government, the practice has specialized in small scale residential architecture. Projects have typically involved renovations and additions to single family houses in the City of Ottawa. In addition to conventional wood-frame construction, recent projects have involved ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) construction (new single family house project and a Victorian row house addition) and timber frame (Victorian farm house addition). The practice has also made numerous successful building permit applications, minor variance applications, and provided legitimization of secondary dwelling unit, change of use conversion of house to daycare facility, and change of use application to group home. Other projects have included multi-unit residential and assistance with two NCC official residence projects .
