Artisans' Christmas Show at the Simcoe County Museum November 15 and 16, 2014 Minesing/October 17, 2014 – Start your Christmas shopping at the 16th annual Artisans' Christmas Show, held November 15 and 16, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Simcoe County Museum.

The trend for public libraries is away from the static, institutional storage facility of the past. We believe in the library as the place where the community can meet to explore interests, meet friends, attend programs and events for all ages and interests. We strive to create a balance that will allow all of these activities to take place in an environment where all ages are respected and welcomed. We understand that our community deserves the best customer service that it is within our power to deliver, and that current library trends aim to move beyond bricks and mortar to provide an experience for their customers that will enhance their enjoyment of facilities and services and ensure they become lifelong patrons and advocates of the public library. We will strive to create and maintain partnerships and strong relationships with community stakeholders to ensure that our role is understood and valued within the community

The Scugog Shores Museum is located on beautiful Scugog Island, overlooking the town of Port Perry. The mission of the Museum is to preserve, research, interpret and exhibit artifacts that illustrate the cultural and natural history of the area. The Museum grounds are home to 12 restored buildings in the historic village, heritage flower and vegetable gardens and the Ojibway Heritage Interpretive Lands.
