Arlene Collins - The ArtistJune 3, 2009 - Be sure to check out the New Released Prints section - 22 NEW paintings have been added!Growing up in the country, Arlene's love for art began at a young age, sketching wildlife scenes and admiring the beauty of landscapes. She was born near Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, and began painting in the early 90's, first experimenting with acrylics, but preferring oils because of better control and a truer color.
Gallery 215 is a community owned gallery housed in an historic two room schoolhouse and showcases the work of Nova Scotia artists, many who live along the scenic Highway 215. In 2014 we offer paintings in oil, watercolour, acrylic and pastel, mixed media work, photography, tapestry, rug hooking, folk art, wood turning, pottery, metal and more in a variety of styles and subject matter, fine art cards and reproduction prints from some of our painters.
