The BFM family is made up of several different groups, but all groups work together and have a common focus. BFM is a volunteer-driven, non-denominational Christian organization that operates thrift stores across Canada. There are several different focuses in the BFM mission, all of which are equally important.

Vulcan Business Development Society (V.B.D.S.) gives me the opportunity to share a number of ideas for business owners and local groups or organizations in our area. A few opportunities for building a website are now available. The V.B.D.S. currently has a $500 Voucher Program to go towards the creation or upgrade of a website. They have a partnership with the University of Alberta Tech Department which gives you access to graphic designers, professional web designers and more.

The role of the ''Friends of the Bar U'' is one of stewardship of the Bar U ranch; promoting understanding of the history of ranching, and demonstrating historical ranching practises.The Friends are comprised of members of the community and together with Parks Canada, had the Bar U Ranch officially designated an historic site. As a registered non-profit organization, they work to further public awareness and understanding of the site, and to protect it for the benefit, education and enjoyment of present and future generations.
