We help through a variety of relevant and accessible programs and services. Over 120 staff in nine different offices deliver these programs and services. They include dental hygienists, speech-language pathologists, geneticists, nurse practitioners, public health nutritionists, dietitians, inspectors, public health nurses and health promoters. Whether we do it through our own work or working with our many partners throughout the area, we’re here to help.

Thank you for visiting the Taykwa Tagamou Nation (TTN) website.The Taykwa Tagamou Nation is a Cree nation whose traditional lands are in what is now northeastern Ontario. Our community has lived on the land and resources in the Moose River basin, along the Little Abitibi and Abitibi Rivers.Our community practiced a way of life that relied on the land for thousands and years, and still today many members keep alive the traditions and practices of our ancestors.The modern Taykwa Tagamou Nation continues traditional practices while also working in the modern Ontario economy, including forestry, waterpower, and mining services.The Taykwa Tagamou Nation is pursuing major projects within its traditional territory, and actively seeks partnerships and new projects.Additional information

What we do for kidsHelping to keep kids safe and treat victims of child abuse.The Children's Treatment Centre is a community based, community supported agency committed to the prevention and treatment of child abuse in Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and Akwesasne.We provide free and immediate assessment and treatment to any child in need and that child's family. The Centre is a unique agency. It is entirely funded by the community it serves and receives no government funding. As such, it is able to channel the bulk of its resources towards those who need it the most - the children.
