We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. My friends and I went for a birthday celebration and were a little anxious about going but it was fabolous!!
the food was delicious, our server was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the menu (which is very impressive) epecially considering the length of the menu.
