This is the Salon where you can just come in and sit down and have Dan look at your hair and he hears you, he sees you and most importantly he listens. Then, just like that, he delivers the most beautiful natural colour and cut ( if I need a trim I dont feel like I lost all my locks ...in other words a trim is a dusting of your ends if that is all you wish) Dan has an excellent eye for colour/style and seeing what is best for you!! In 2012, Dr. Ivan Tucakov saved my life. I went there for a regular check-up after receiving his brochure in the mail. We go to the Barley Works on Friday or Saturday nights after nine pm to play trivia. We have samples seveal of their menu offerings and really enjoy the perogies and spinach salad. April is a great bartender and we are never left waiting or wondering if we are being taken care of.
Worth the drive to Waterloo if you like a place to sit and play a bit of interactive trivia. So long as you don't mind that it is mostly a student hangout (and we "old fogies" don't mind at all).

I enjoyed the fact that I could book my appt online. I got to choose the stylist and the service that I wanted, as well as the date and time. The salon is very clean and organized. Jackie was kind and attentive. It was clear that she is talented and experienced in what she does. She listened to exactly what I wanted and did not go off course as other hairdressers have in my past. The prices are very fair. Definitely a positive experience and I will be returning!
