Hollyburn Sailing Club began operation in 1963 with the main objective of training North Shore children in seamanship. With the blessing of the District and the West Vancouver Parks and Recreation Commission the HSC has operated out of Ambleside Park for almost 50 years training over 10,000 individuals. Our training programs have expanded to include adult sailing and kayaking lessons.

This comprehensive program presented in a building block system is flexible, practical and emphasizes a hands-on approach, allowing you to learn at your own pace.Accredited by Transport Canada to deliver boating safety courses and administer tests for the issuance of Pleasure Craft Operator Cards, including replacement cards, under the Competency of Operators of Pleasure Craft Regulations.The International logbook is provided to record personal standards achieved within the program, for pleasure craft up to 24 meters, allowing Schools, Charter Boat and delivery companies to ascertain your level of ability.
