As early as 1942, a few far-sighted owners recognized the need for an organization whose main purpose would be to improve general conditions in the bowling industry and founded the Vancouver Bowling Alley Operators' Association. In 1954, a B.C. Bowling Alley Operators' Association was formed and, in 1959, was to become the present Bowling Proprietors' Association of B.C. Finally, in 1961, a full-time administrator was hired and an office was opened.
The Society of Richmond Children's Centres was founded in 1995 by a small group of community volunteers. The Society opened its first children's centre in Terra Nova in 1996. Since that date, the Society has opened the Cook Road and the Bowling Green Road Children's Centres. A dedicated group of community and family members make up our board of directors and oversee the operation of the Society.

We cannot say enough about the team at The Zone who always go above and beyond in helping to make our event more successful year after year. Holding a fundraiser comes with many restrictions and limitations but their facility is wonderful and always accommodating to our needs. Both our participants and volunteers have a wonderful time and working with their staff is an absolute pleasure.
