With several home inspectors to now choose from, I went with one that had the most experiance and has been in business for over 12 years. This inspector took nearly 6 hours to complete the inspection on site. Dave was very detailed and throurgh. It took another 2 hours back at his office to complete the report and then he emailed it to me. What a detailed report, easy to understand, lots of photos with diagrams and at the start of the report, a report summery outling the major and minor issues of the home. He is so good, he did not even need one of those thermoimaging machines that some inspectors boast to have, all he used was visual common sense and a moisture meter.
His fee was $450.00 but was worth every penny, I paid a higher price for an inspector here, but got someone with experiance, knowledge and has performed thousands of inspections. Ya, I could have got the inspector that charges $350. - $400. like most newbies I found out, but, if I did, I would have got exactly what I paid for, a cheap inspection.
Anyway, I highly recommend Dave and will not hesitate to use him again or recommend his professional sevices to anyone.
