Working for a leading New Home Warranty provider, Neil gained the skills required to determine and evaluate a vast variety of material and construction defects. In processing homeowners' claims submitted under the home warranty policy, Neil would assess the validity of the claims against the legislation. In five years Neil processed over 5,000 claims, largely of which were in the form of reports written by Home Inspectors or Engineers. Often, the process could become a lengthy investigation involving discussions and/or written communication with homeowners, builders, engineers, lawyers and realtors.
