It is a short 90 minute drive from Victoria, and minutes away from golf courses, boat rentals and pub or gourmet dining. There are many local artists and artisans in the surrounding Yellow Point area. It is an excellent place to sample what Vancouver Island has to offer. An afternoon playing golf at Ladysmith Golf Club is always a pleasure. All the great local attractions nearby and such a large number of things to do are great reasons to come. If you fancy the outdoors, you won't be saddened; there's relaxing, and playing golf, so perhaps you want to stay a while. The kind atmosphere and the ably operated operations are in themselves reason enough to come here. It's not very good for you to spend too much time in the city; you've got to get out of the house from time to time, and Bald Eagle Riverside Campground.

Located on the outskirts of Port Alberni 5 minutes from the city centre, the Timberlodge is renowned for its hospitality and excellent service.
