Faith Memorial United Church serves the area of Bath, Bristol, and Florenceville. It is a new congregation, which resulted when the 3-point Florenceville Pastoral Charge amalgamated and built a new church in 2002.The church is located in Florenceville, a community that has a population of approximately 850. The community is located in the scenic Saint John River Valley, a little north of the middle of the province and approximately 13 km from the American border into Maine.
In the summer of 1920, a tent was pitched on Terrace Street where John Inman presently resides. Meetings were started under the leadership of Rev. William Killam, who was assisted by Bernie Oakes and Rev. Charlie Flewelling, along with many other workers who came from Maine and Carleton County.
