The Fort Macleod Economic Development Department strives to welcome and promote business development within the Town. Our Economic Development Manager works with local businesses to inform, promote and attract business.Fort Macleod recognizes the benefits of growth and development within the community, the importance of growing existing businesses and helping new businesses succeed. The Town supports commercial and industrial businesses as well as many home-based businesses offering a wide-range of services including medical, financial, grocery and convenience stores, metal works and more.
The Town owns and operates a campground adjacent to the Picture Butte Lake Reservoir on the north side of Town. Nearby is the 'Walk-on-the-Wildside' nature trail, as well as an opportunity to fish in the reservoir. The campground consists of one camp kitchen, washrooms and nine overnight stalls.Camping fees are $10.00 per night, based on a 'first-come-first-served' basis.
