The Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society is a registered non-profit society, charitable organization and United Way member agency that seeks to build a healthy and just society which values all cultures. PICS started as a volunteer based organization in 1987, and has expanded to include offices in Surrey and Vancouver to serve the multicultural community. Each year PICS is involved with very successful job fairs. In addition to the Mega Job Fair held in Surrey and the Joint Job Fair, organized in conjunction with other immigrant serving agencies, PICS organizes a multitude of mini job fairs. These job fairs give clients the opportunity to meet with potential employers and learn more about the labor market. The Government of Canada has contributed funding to office initiatives, which means they are available at no cost to our clients. In addition, with the help of the Ministry of Communities, Aboriginals and Women's Services, PICS offers settlement and integration help to newcomers from our offices.
