Fraser Valley Academy of Dance, under the artistic direction of John C. Carney, offers superior dance training with specialized focus on classical ballet and musical theatre. The Academy provides students with varied training in classes throughout the year in the Classical Ballet School, Musical Theatre School , Pre-Professional Academy, and Summer Programs. With a teaching staff of former professional dancers, as well as certified teachers with national diplomas in Performing Arts and Teacher Training, the Academy offers students an exceptional opportunity to achieve their highest potential. Since 2013, FVAD students have received over 80 invitations to professional training programs at Canada's National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet School, School of Alberta Ballet, Rambert School of Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and Randolph Academy of Performing Arts, as well as many international summer programs.
