Welcome and thank you for your interest in Jacqueline's School of Dance (JSOD). JSOD has been an established dance studio in the Durham region since 1984. Our current location offers four bright, spacious, and climate controlled studios that operate six days a week. Our instructors are fully qualified members of the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing). They are professionals who continually educate themselves with new, innovative styles and techniques.We offer unsurpassed instruction in ballet, pointe, acro, jazz, tap, highland, musical theatre, hip hop, and lyrical, focusing on technique and musicality. Classes are organized according to age and experience on both recreational and competitive levels. Our Twinkle Toes dancers start as young as three years old while there seems to be no limit to the ages of our adult dancers.JSOD's success is due to the fact that we treat each and every one of our dancers and their families equally and enthusiastically. Samantha Brooks - B.F.A. owner/Artistic Director is a professional teacher with an extensive dance background. She has been teaching dance in the GTA for 10 years. Sam is thrilled to be opening her own studio to share her passion and knowledge of dance with her students. She was teaching in York Region and has won numerous awards for her choreography and costumes at various competitions.
Our studio is a bright, newly renovated 1300 square foot space with an inviting parent lounge/viewing area.
There are two large wheelchair accessible men’s and women’s washrooms located directly outside of the entrance to the studio. As well as a single washroom located within the studio for the students.
There is free wifi, and ample parking available.
