The Water Weedsickle was developed by Mr. Basil Leonard in 1994 to address his own water weed issue. The machine worked so well from the start it was soon decided to build it for consumer use. As a retired Automotive Supplier Quality Manager, Basil was committed to building and continually improving his machine over the years.The original Water Weedsickle was powered by a gasoline engine. Understandably this was changed to a 12 volt electric gearmotor the following year. Many improvements followed, most notably the change from aluminum weldment construction to cast aluminum components in 2000. This added to the strength of the machine and significantly improved the finish appearance. Designed and arguably overbuilt in every aspect, The Water Weedsickle is a long term investment intended to provide the user with many years of trouble free operation enhancing the enjoyment and value of waterfront properties.In the fall of 2011 we were pleased to add The Water Weedsickle to our business.
