Photo Central has been serving Winnipeg's photographers since 1975, when Dick Toews took over management of what was then Independent Photo Centre. In 1991 the name was changed to Photo Central Inc when Dick took over full ownership. Photo Central continued to grow and adapt over the years, and has seen the introduction and explosion of digital products and the rapid change it has made in the industry in the last decade. Photo Central was purchased by Dick's son, Andrew, in the spring of 2008. Andrew has since made the necessary changes to ensure that Photo Central is equipped to function and flourish in a rapidly changing marketplace without sacrificing who we are or what we think a business should be. Lise uses these skills to facilitate groups and counsel individuals both in urban and wilderness environments with a focus on physical and emotional safety, successful participation, fun, meaningful activity and group cohesion.
