Dear Markus of Geo Masonry,When my husband and I planned an addition to our home we knew a real stone fireplace had to be the central element. With one photograph of the style we were looking for, you created a living art piece made of stone. During your first visit to our home you assured us you could duplicatewhat we had in mind, but in fact, you created something far more beautiful.Quite apart from your craftsmanship, which was second to none, we enjoyed watching you assemble the stone pieces like a jigsaw puzzle , carefully hand selecting each stone as you created our stone structure. The floor to cathedral ceiling stone front is majestic, authentic and sturdily built. It will last a lifetime!Of course we want to thank you for your beautiful stone work, but equally as valuable is your professional attitude, your polite manner, and your commitment to safety. Even other trades who worked on this project commented upon how easily you work with others, and how professionally you conduct yourself Markus. We are beginning to consider further renovations to our home and because you made stone work so accessible we will be in touch to discuss a stone front for the exterior of our home. Many thanks for helping us to achieve our stone fireplace goals!

Since its inception in 1919 the Festival has grown in size and scope. The first Festival had 274 entries in the 38 classes offered, with a total of 2500 participants. The 91st Annual Festival, held from March 1 to March 22, 2009, had over 3000 entries in more than 500 classes. Running for 23 days, the festival utilized 11 venues in Winnipeg and engaged 15 adjudicators from across Canada. The Winnipeg Music Festival was established by the Men's Musical Club, the first festival being held in May 1919. One of the major hurdles for these organizers was selling the idea of a competitive festival to a new market. One solution was to cooperate with existing festivals in Alberta and Saskatchewan, thereby hiring well-known and distinguished musicians, most from Great Britain, as adjudicators. This established a tradition that lasted until the mid 1960s when the festival began selecting adjudicators from North America.
Cornerstone Counselling Centre has been providing professional counselling services to children, families, and individuals in Edmonton and area for over 35 years. During this time, over 50,000 people have benefited from the help they have received at Cornerstone. Fundamental to our work are the principles of compassion and generosity, and a steadfast belief in people's ability to transform their lives. Founded in 1977, a small group of committed individuals named as the Cornerstone Counselling Society of Edmonton formed a faith based, not-for-profit agency. Their goals were to provide professional counselling services to anyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay. The fledgling agency was supported by donations from individuals, community businesses, and churches.
Resources & Links Crestview Fellowship was a church plant by the Kleefeld EMC church in the 1960's. It all began when the Kleefeld EMC began holding Sunday School classes & DVBS ministries in the St. Charles School close to Portage Ave. where the Perimeter Highway now stands. In 1967, the first building was completed between on Hamilton Ave and Belevista. The first official pastor of Crestview Fellowship was Melvin Koop who came with his fire and passion for evangelism. Many stories can be told of those first years of Crestview as it grew in the neighborhood. But one of Mel's favorites is the faith of the people to take on a missionary lady financially when the church itself was struggling to pay all the bills. What came out of that was that God supplied all the needs of Crestview Fellowship in those days.In the early 1980's an addition was put onto the church and the old sanctuary became a gymnasium and the new sanctuary and fellowship area (lower level) were welcomed with optimism as God was blessing the faithful once again.
