Remsheg The Place BetweenWallace is a picturesque village with a diverse cultural heritage. The remnants of Mi kmaq habitation and the Acadian Dykes are visible reminders of our first Native and European settlers. This fishing and hunting community was then called Remsheg, meaning ' the place between', in the original Mi kmaq language. The Wallace and Area Museum has approximately four kilometres of trails open to visitors. In the fall of 1998 the Museum opened several short walking trails to allow visitors to experience nature without having to make a large commitment of time. During the month of June 2000, a new 3 km wilderness trail was opened for the more experienced walkers. This trail connects the Museum with the newly opened Trans Canada Trail which boarders the Museum property. The well marked new trail allows visitors to see sections of old growth forests, and experience a wide variety of plants and animals in their natural environment.

Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre is committed to developing an understanding and appreciation for theatre within the community through the production of high quality professional work. Within this mandate we strive to create a supportive environment for Nova Scotia artists to hone their talents and present, produce and develop new work. The repertory nature of Festival Antigonish supports a balanced selection of Canadian and International works, providing an opportunity for established and emerging theatre artists to take on new challenges. The Festival's artistic choices emphasize the legitimacy and unique character of Nova Scotian Theatre, and provide all age groups in the community with access to a range of theatre.
Last year, Festival Antigonish celebrated its twenty-sixth season. Each summer, around 10,000 patrons from around Nova Scotia and beyond enjoy acclaimed theatre for all ages. For every one of those years Festival Antigonish has been supported by generous annual donors who appreciate how a thriving professional theatre enhances the quality of life in our region and makes a significant economic impact in our community. As a not-for-profit organization, we depend on the support from our donors to help fill the gap between earned revenue (ticket sales) and the cost of mounting a season of this caliber. That's why we're inviting you to sign up for the Festival Antigonish Encore Fund. With our new Giving Plan you can choose monthly installments to suit your budget and spread your donation over time. Whatever the amount of your contribution, you do make a difference
