Mount Washington is a great little ski hill, that gets a TON of snow on an annual basis. Fun family hill with lots of weekend events. If you get it on a powder day the Boomerang chair will give you endless fresh lines.
Definitely a must to check out on your west coast ski tour. Great local crowd.

Found this on day two of our five days here and never went anywhere else. We had a variety of meals there and everything was fabulous. Met the owner, Karen, and she told us everything that can be, is real. No factory food, boil in a bag stuff here. And we eat in alot of restaurants these days. Trust me...that is a rarity. And so is being able to order bacon and eggs at 7 at night. The staff were great and made us laugh like crazy. When we go back to Campbell River for fishing, we are going to Banners. And so should you. Good eats....

The founding members of the society are Barbara Mitchell, Comox Band, Lorna Quatel, Campbell River Band, Audrey Wilson, Cape Mudge, Pauline (McCrimmon) Janyst, Da'naxda'xw First Nation.In 1991 these First Nations women came together as a result of their concerns regarding the prevalence of family violence in their communities. Pauline did volunteer work at the Campbell River Family Services in the victim services area; she often had women of ethnic backgrounds along with the First Nations women referred to her. She took this concern to the three First Nations band social development workers and asked if there was something they could do. They first organized a support group that Pauline facilitated with her training as a victim service worker. From then she began seeking funding sources to implement a program.
In 1984 six Nanaimo Realtors envisioned a new style of real estate leadership. They broke-free from franchise restrictions in order to establish an independent Company that was, and remains, committed to serving the needs of clientele and Sales Representatives (always known as REALTORS).
