Located on the Old Oland Family farm property, since 1981, families of Sackville and the surrounding communities have come to know Oakridge Memorial Gardens and its solid reputation for caring, professional guidance. Perched upon the highest point in Halifax County, visitors are provided with 70 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens dotted with mature trees and trees. Within the property, sits a lovely stone masonry chapel adorned with interior and glass front niches. Oakridge has a peaceful and natural atmosphere for loved ones to gather and reminisce in any season. Adjacent to Oakridge is Lindwood, a private cemetery owned by the Oland family. Brewers by profession, the Oland family built the Blue Nose II. Within Lindwood grounds sits a beautiful mausoleum with chapel ornamented with charming stained-glass windows.
