We always enjoyed feeding the birds in the yard, but we could never find a mix that did not contain fillers that weren't eaten by the birds. We tested various combinations of seed until we came up with a mix that all seed eating birds devoured. It was such a good mix that we opened a store to sell it to everyone.The Birdhouse has been Quinte area's bird feeding and nature store now for over 20 years. We have over 150 different bird feeders in stock. This is the only place to buy The Right Stuff, the most popular mixed seed, the mix that started it all, which is made in house. It contains no "fillers", but only seeds that are eaten by the birds.We also carry a great selection of bird baths, garden accents and gift ware. Native Renaissance II Art Gallery and Gift Shop opened in 1978. We are a large retail store featuring Native Arts and Crafts, Moccasins, and gifts. On the second floor of our store is one the largest fine art galleries in the area. There you can see original sculptures, reproductions, paintings and limited editions by acclaimed native and wild-life artists including award-winning Mohawk sculptor, Thomas B. Maracle.
