Welcome to Olympic View Golf Club Olympic View Golf Club is located just 20 minutes from downtown Victoria on the savoury southern tip of Vancouver Island. Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and enjoys Canada's mildest winters, allowing for year-round golf. Olympic View is rated the #20 Best Golf Experience in Canada and USA West, Fairways and Greens Magazine 2006 and previously ranked within the Top 35 Public Golf Courses in Canada and Top 50 Golf Courses in Canada by the Golf Course Ranking Magazine and Score Golf Magazine. Olympic View Golf Club boasts tranquility and nature with a variety of golf holes that constitute individual masterpieces. The magnificence of the Olympic Mountains, roar of two spectacular waterfalls, harmony of eagles soaring and deer grazing, calmness of twelve lakes and the stylish rock outcroppings deliver an award winning golf experience. If some of the golf shots on this target venue quicken your pulse, the tranquility of our setting should help to calm and center you. It's no wonder this was the first golf course in British Columbia that Tiger Woods played, as an amateur in 1994. Nestled deep inside a pristine Vancouver Island forest, Olympic View first impresses as you survey the horizon from the first tee, where staggered peaks of the Olympic Mountains seem to pierce the sky above. The seventeenth hole encompasses enough natural beauty for an entire course. From the tee, aim toward a 40 foot hawaiianesque waterfall that frames the green 417 yards away. Olympic View is one of the finest golf course in Victoria, amidst the 40 memorable golf courses on Vancouver Island. The GBC Golf Academy Olympic View also hosts the award winning GBC Golf Academy. It is proud to be the only facility in BC with multiple PGA award winning instructors; John Randle, the Director of Instruction, is the 2007 and 2002 PGA of BC Teacher of the year, Lori Randle, Lead Instructor, is the 2006 PGA of BC Teacher of the Year and Jamie Hefferman, Academy Instructor, is the 2007 Junior Promoter of the Year.
