His approach to each project is straight forward: 'Find out from the Director what he wants, find out from the Producer what framework you have in terms of schedule and budget. With this information I start to prioritise. The reality is that different jobs do have different priorities. When budget and schedule are generous you have a large palette to choose from when it comes to executing the job. The palette shrinks when the job is lean. That does not necessarily mean you have to compromise the creative outcome. I look back at some jobs that only left room for a simple approach and in the end the creative outcome was the best for the given script.
