He eventually became vice-president and co-owner in 1978. The company specialized in large commercial projects (factories, warehouses, grocery chains) and institutional construction (hospitals, schools). During his time as VP Bob was responsible for several multi-million dollar projects and many commercial renovations. During his time in Ontario he was on the Board of Directors of the local construction exchange, past member of the Ontario General Contractors Association and past member of the Canadian Construction Association. Since his move to the Sunshine Coast he is past Director of the Sechelt Chamber of Commerce. His current time and efforts are devoted to Pacific Home Improvements.
