Summit Medical Clinic has been a part of Kamloops since the early 1990s. Two young doctors moved from Logan Lake and set up a walk-in clinic at a strip mall on Summit Drive. The Clinic was open until 9:00pm and Walk-in clinics were on their way into Medical culture. Neither of the first two doctors practice at Summit Clinic today. In 1999 Summit Clinic moved down the hill to a new mall at 1380 Summit Drive where we have been for the past fifteen years. The Clinic is appreciated by the patients who are without a family doctor. Summit Clinic accommodates as many patients as it can. Summit Clinic fills quickly as patients call or line up to get the walk-in spots available. It’s a new twist on meeting medical needs but the parking is free and the patients learn to deal with the system.

Elizabeth was raised in Kamloops and returned after practicing in Vancouver and Vernon for a number of years. She remembered what Kamloops offered her when she was growing up and wanted to provide those same opportunities to her growing family. Originally from Victoria, Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Victoria. He moved to Kamloops to join the inaugural class at TRU Faculty of Law, graduating in 2014. While there, Greg led in establishing the TRU’s Annual SLS Golf Tournament Fundraiser, and was awarded “Best Presenter” for his paper and presentation at the 6th Annual Canadian Law Students Conference in Windsor, Ontario.
