Governed by a Board of Directors, our services include vaccinations, immunizations, classes, clinics, water quality testing, health hazard and animal bite investigations, infection and outbreak control, and family home visits for new moms. The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit increases public awareness about the importance of prenatal and postnatal health, dental health, food safety, healthy eating, physical activity, injury prevention, tobacco use prevention, positive parenting, substance use and misuse, sun and heat safety, and safe sexual health, and other public health topics in workplaces, schools, and the community.
