When you're planning a trip and need a place for your furry friend to stay, bring them to It's A Dogs House in Leduc County. Opened in 1998 by a retired nurse, we are a dog boarding facility that does not use cages. Instead, the dogs get to stay in the house in a comfortable environment. When it's time for the dogs to get some exercise, they get to go outside and enjoy 18,000 square feet of running room. We have a maximum 8 dogs at a time and we interview client and their pet to ensure that all the dogs will get along. As a result, we have limited space and prebooking is advised for holidays. Our normal hours are between 8 AM-9 PM and our hours are fluid within reason. Call today to schedule an interview for your dog at our fun and comfortable boarding house.

Vacations and business travel sometimes require that people leave their pets behind, perhaps with friends or family, in a kennel, or even on their own. For some animals, a stay with friends can be a welcome break. However, some animals find this change disturbing and have a low tolerance to changes in their routine. Older cats and dogs, and some exotic birds can be particularly susceptible to the upsets that a change in environment can bring. For others, it may be a change in their own lives that makes caring for their pets difficult. Ageing and long or short term disabilities can make it hard to care for a pet, but giving up the pet is not an option as they are usually valued and loved members of the family. In addition, some people live a lifestyle that is just too busy to allow the time for the maintenance of their animals. Our love of animals is the drive behind our business.
Norma is fantastic with our cats. We have used her in home cat care services for over 10 years and she has always been loving and caring with our cats. Highly recommend. Read more
Dogs need exercise! Pent up energy often turns into trouble, in forms like destroyed items, damaged furniture, even destruction in parts of your home. The easiest way to avoid this is to give them exercise! Scheduled walks or romps at the dog park works wonders! And just might save your favorite pair of shoes. Dogs are also social creatures. They need to get out and interact with people or other dogs. A trip to the dog park helps to let them get their "dog" out and play! Having 2 energetic dog has taught the importance is exercise and socializing.
