Since 1996, Human Resources Development of Canada has transferred most of its programs to the Cree Regional Authority. The Cree Human Resources Development (CHRD) was instituted as a department of the Cree Regional Authority (CRA) in April 2002.We are available to all of the nine Cree communities as a resource towards skills development, employment and career development.
CHRD Mandate
CHRD has the mandate to provide skills development, training programs and services and employment insurance services in the nine Cree communities and throughout the Territory. The goal of CHRD is to help Cree and non-Cree to prepare for, obtain and keep jobs. The CHRD Programs and Services can provide support and financial assistance to:
