He then was a small family sawmill in local and regional focus , as were many small villages in Quebec. Over the years the falls were formed , and by the middle of the century, his son Thomas- Louis took the leadership of the company. In addition to softwood lumber , operations also included the hardwood lumber and the manufacture of products such as boxes used for blueberries .
