Elgin County has been providing care and support since 1875 when the first House of Industry was established. Over the years, service has been enhanced to include three long term care homes across the County and community outreach programs. The three homes are Bobier Villa in Dutton, Elgin Manor in St. Thomas and Terrace Lodge in Aylmer.
Norfolk County's most popular tourist attractions are the beaches, ports, towns and villages along Lake Erie, known as Ontario's South Coast. These towns include Port Dover, Turkey Point, Long Point, Simcoe, Delhi, Waterford and Port Rowan. Fishing is another key attraction for tourists, as well as birding, hiking, camping and cycling.
