The Wollaston & Limerick Union Public Library opened to the public on January 11, 1973. There are approximately 450 patrons.Since its beginnings, this 'wee library with heart'' has been a valuable resource supporting literacy, employment, local business, health and daily life in the community. Like other libraries, our role is changing with the times. We are growing into an information hub for our community by offering a gateway to the digital world. At the same time we promote information sharing and social interaction right here at home. 'There is not such a cradle of democracy upon the earth as the Free Public Library, this republic of letters, where neither rank, office nor wealth receives the slightest consideration'.

Both branches are now fully accessible thanks to grant from the Ontario Trillium FoundationThanks to funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation of $13,600 over 12 months, both Flinton and Denbigh Library now offer fax service. The grant has enabled the Township to purchase new print/copy/scan and fax machines for each location, a service not readily available in the area.

The sea has significantly influenced the school in the naming of classrooms like: Upper Bridge, Lower Bridge, Lower Deck, Aft, and Upper Deck.
