In 1904, which was the last Olympics to include golf, Mr. Lyon won the gold medal. He continued on until 1932 winning eight Canadian Amateur championships, ten Canadian Senior titles and four U.S./Canadian Senior championships. In 1931 Fred M. Lyon, son of George Lyon, continued in his father's footsteps in insurance. He joined with Arthur H. Butler to form what is presently known as Lyon and Butler Insurance Ltd.
