That is why literacy programs are integrated into the multi-faceted day-to-day life of our communities and why we see an ongoing commitment of these communities to support literacy as a key to personal development and to the socio-economic progress of our nation. Thus we always hear about special activities planned at community level to promote literacy and life-long learning, and to celebrate local literacy achievements. These activities include open houses, community reading festivals, literacy displays, fundraisers and literacy awareness initiatives that target the whole neighbourhood.

At the Literacy Centre, we provide reading assessment and remedial tutoring services to children between the ages of 4 to 17. Research has proven that potential reading difficulties need to be identified and addressed early, and the proper assessment of your child's strengths and challenges, paired with specialized therapy plans, help develop proficient, confident learners. Our qualified staff of registered psychologists and certified teachers in the province of Ontario can identify your child’s unique learning profile and develop a treatment plan to further develop his or her existing skills.
