Louis Payeur, the founder of Motrec, built the first vehicle in his garage. That was in 1988. This robust carrier was delivered to a heavy equipment manufacturer where it performed so well that word got around. It didn't stop there. Just two years after our first delivery, the North American auto manufacturers came knocking. They were looking for equipment to meet the demanding environment of just-in-time manufacturing assembly lines. We continue to build fleets of vehicles for all of the big auto manufacturers today
