Stoney Creek Community HomesStoney Creek Community Homes is a nonprofit Housing Corporation. As such we are committed to affordable housing that allows our occupants/tenants to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of their families. Tenancy is open to everyone subject to eligibility based on criteria set by our province and city. Since we are committed to a better quality of life for our tenants, their input into decision affecting their lives is considered seriously by the board. All of our tenants are treated equally despite having different levels of income. We accommodate seniors and all other persons and families who need assistance through rentgearedtoincome.Utilizing provincial and federal funding we developed Stoneybrook Manor I. We now have Stoneybrook Manor II, Mistywood Village, Paramount Place, Melvin Apartments and Queenston Heights.Stoney Creek Community Homes has a volunteer Board of Directors to whom the General Manager is responsible. There is also a staff that assists the manager in efficient and competent management of our properties as well as implementing various board policies as they are developed.Our staff at Stoney Creek Community Homes are committed to the tenants and occupants who live in the housing that we care for and manage.
Mission: to create & deliver exceptional literacy learning opportunities for the residents of Lambton County.
Our FREE Ministry-funded adult program helps adults 18+ improve their reading, writing, math, basic computer, and digital skills needed to successfully reach goals including: employment,, secondary credits, post-secondary and pre-apprenticeship entrance, and greater independence. We offer personalized, private, one-to-one tutoring for adults.
Our FREE Train Your Brain program helps grade three and four students improve their math & reading skills through play-based activities.
Various other mission-related initiatives serve to champion literacy and increase literacy levels in Lambton County.
