The Museum Was First Established As The Lundy'S Lane Historical Museum In 1961 By The Lundy'S Lane Historical Society. Housing A Vast Collection Of Niagara Falls History, The Museum Provides A Showcase For The Unique History Of The Famous City. Our Exhibitions Reflect The Unique And Varied History Of The City, With Exhibitions On Black History, The Loretto Academy, Early Tourism, The Building Of The City And The War Of 1812.The Museum Is Temporarily Located At The Victoria Street Armoury In Niagara Falls However It'S Permanent Home Under Renovation Is Historic Stamford Township Hall On The War Of 1812 Battlefield At Lundy'S Lane.
Chilliwack Cultural Strategy was proposed. Developed by the Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation and the Chilliwack Arts Alliance, the strategy identified the need for an improved cultural focus in Chilliwack. It outlined the key social, economic and community impacts of a vibrant and healthy arts and cultural sector. Central to the strategy were improved facilities to host and nurture arts and culture programs and experiences for all ages.
A collection of over forty aircraft has grown through the friendship of Dennis Bradley and Alan Ness. Their love of aviation and their desire to maintain and preserve Canada's aviation history saw restoration projects that were not only great pieces of workmanship but airworthy examples.
Hamiltons first Waterworks pays tribute to the social and working life of the early industrial revolution and the spirit of Canadas Ambitious City. The museum preserves the oldest surviving Canadian built 70 ton stationary steam engines, one of which is set in motion daily for demonstration purposes. Experience on demand guided tours and special events for the whole family including drop in programming during Family Day, March Break and Christmas, and Live Steamer Days in partnership with the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers from May through October.
