La Cançao is a jazz band that provides ambiance live music for corporate events, cocktails and weddings, in the Greater Montreal area and the Eastern Townships. Our repertoire is carefully selected to create an elegant and smooth atmosphere, and all of the musicians in La Cançao are professionals. The band usually plays as a quartet, with Rebecca Rowley on vocals, Philippe L’Allier on guitar, Olivier Babaz on the upright bass and Yannick Parent on drums.
The Musicians of the World Symphony Orchestra were outstanding. Ditto for soprano Brigitte O Halleran and singer Alexandra Cohenwho doubled as emcee. Thanks to Councillor Sam Goldbloom for serving as co-chair with me to event coordinator Alvin Fishman for his tireless work.
