Elder's Equine Clinic was established shortly after Dr. Elder graduated from veterinary college in 1965. Since that time, the practice has been proudly providing equine veterinary service to the Winnipeg and Southeastern Manitoba region.Dr. Elder has always had a passion for horses and keeping them healthy so that they can perform their job as best possible. That tradition of care and service to our clients has been steadfast throughout more than 45 years of practice.In 2012, the practice was taken over by Dr. Chris Bell and the name was formally changed to Elders Equine Veterinary Service. Dr. Bell is committed to carrying on the proud tradition of excellent equine veterinary care to the horses of Winnipeg, Southern Manitoba and surrounding areas.

Founded in 1906, the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) was incorporated under the Animal Pedigree Act as the official registry of Thoroughbred horses in Canada . The CTHS (Ontario Division) aims to ensure a viable future for its members by providing assistance and representation within the Thoroughbred breeding Industry.

MTS IceplexOpened in August 2010, the MTS Iceplex is a 177,000 square foot multipurpose, state-of-the-art facility that is open year round. It consists of four rinks, each with NHL regulation size ice surfaces (200' x 85'). In addition, the facility boasts a dedicated Goalie training centre (45' x 37'), 22 player dressing rooms, high performance fitness and training facilities, a full service pro shop, licensed restaurant and lounge, concession and vending facilities as well as conference facilities.The MTS Iceplex provides between 11,000 and 13,000 hours of ice annually which serves the minor hockey community, adult recreation leagues, tournaments, summer camps and casual rentals.MTS Iceplex has been recognized as a Hockey Canada Centre of Excellence and was one of three venues that hosted the 2011 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, a major international hockey tournament held by Hockey Canada each year.MTS Iceplex is home to the following tenant teams:Winnipeg JetsMTS Iceplex serves as the official practice and training facility of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club.
