I had Dr. Bosdet do my eye exams, to have a baseline check, when I found out I had Diabetes. He was friendly and led me through all the steps of the exam and explained Everything! He showed me the pictures of my retinas and explained how they looked perfect and what could happen in a diabetic eye. He was extremely thorough & reassuring.
I have since taken both my children to him to be sure their eyes are O.K. before starting school, and he was terrific with them too! He was quick and spoke appropriately to them at their level of understanding, while allowing me to sit in and hear the results as well.
In every encounter I was very pleased with Dr. Bosdet's expertise & professionalism.

Our team is a group of personable and compassionate individuals who work together to make the eye care experience at Alpine Optometry efficient, comfortable and enjoyable. Please drop by or call to speak to them about any of your eye care questions or concerns.Dr Rob Onstein was raised in Terrace, British Columbia. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo, Ontario in 1983. Following his graduation, Rob returned to the beautiful north west of B.C. where he continues to serve the eye care needs of this area.Both Rob and his wife Kathie, enjoy the rural life that the Smithers and Bulkley Valley have to offer. They both are active in riding horses and competing in reining horse events. Rob looks forward to continuing to care for the eyes of the Bulkley Valley area and welcomes new patients without referral.
