The GO shop was founded by Bryan Davies over 50 years ago. He had a love of cars and a
passion for building them. As a full-time teacher in Peterborough, Bryan made this passion into
the GO Shop where he provided quality parts and advice at a very reasonable price to avoid the
woes of buying online and not being satisfied with the product.
The GO Shop has had numerous locations over the years with its current location at 101 Park
Street South, where Bryan and I (Andrew) first met. I started buying car parts from Bryan
almost 20 years ago, and after a few months Bryan asked me if I could help him move the store
from Rink St to Park St, and our relationship grew from there. I have worked part-time for
Bryan for almost 20 years, many longstanding customers would often confuse me for one of his
sons which meant wasn’t far off as he treated me as such. After the passing of my own father
in 2012, Bryan stepped into that role without hesitation. While working, I was learning the ins
and outs of this business and growing greater knowledge and interest in the business as the
time went on. In 2022, Bryan wanted to enjoy his retirement with his wife and travel more, so I
took on more full-time capacity to support Bryan with this. In 2023, Bryan sold the GO Shop to
me, with hopes of continuing on what he started for the next 50 years or more.
I am excited to continue his legacy of offering quality part and good customer service to
Peterborough and beyond.
