Cornerstone Alliance Church began in St. Vital in the late 1930's. It became a church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in the early 1950's. We have gone through various name changes: Gospel Tabernacle - St. Vital Gospel Tabernacle - Southdale Alliance Church - Cornerstone Alliance Church (2001).

We are a non-denominational, Christ-centered, Bible-believing church that seeks to meet according to the principles set down for the church in the New Testament. Although independent there are thousands of assemblies similar to ours functioning throughout the world. We hold to the historic truths of the Christian faith as revealed in the New Testament

Eucharist is celebrated with both beloved liturgy and new innovations, particularly in the music sung by our choir and congregation. Our parish cultivates and nurtures inter-generational relationships with ministries to children, families and seniors.During the week our building is used extensively by community groups such as Vital Seniors, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, AA support groups and many others. I Hope This Update Finds You Well. We Are Enjoying The Cooler Weather Of 'Winter' Here In Mozambique And I Hear That Finally Our North American Family And Friends Are Enjoying Summer (Or At Least Rain Instead Of Snow) J In Our Last Update We Shared About Several Upcoming Seminars That Rick Was Going To Be Leading. The One We Held Here At The Training Centre At The Asam Base Was A Wonderful Time. Many Of The Seminar Participants Were Staff Members At The Farm Who Are Involved With Childrens Ministry At Their Own Churches. It Was So Neat To See The Guys Who Work Here On The Farm In A Variety Of Areas, Everything From Agriculture And Grounds Keeping To Administration, Getting Excited About Ministering To The Children In Their Own Churches Effectively.

Since the very beginning of the Catholic Church a mystery of Divine Mercy has been contemplated by Christian believers. Christ's redemptive mission was nothing but an act of reconciliation of us people with God. The Christians believe that the Church was symbolically born at the moment when Jesus' side was pierced on the cross. Water and blood came out of his heart as a sign of our purification through the baptism and salvation through the precious sacrifice of life.

The Webmaster Nestled among schools and homes in a vibrant corner of Windsor Park, St. Bartholomew currently has a parish membership of 170 familes. The church has a new spiritual leader, Rev. Dr. Lee Titterington, who is eager to meet members of the local community. ''I have been impressed with the strength and vitality of the congregation,'' said Titterington.'' Their dedication and cooperation provides a firm foundation for the many outstanding programs offered at the church,'' he continued, ''The vacation bible school this summer was a tremendous sucess and a new group has formed to coordinate the Food Depot. The church has adopted new watchwords for the coming year: 'Reaching forward to what lies ahead' (Phil 3:13). ''This has installed parishioners with a renewed engergy for our many outreach programs,'' stated Rev. Deacon Helen Hunter. ''The Food Depot for Winnipeg Harvest is just one of so many outreach programs. We also have a companion parish in Ugand,a support the efforts of the Primatés World Relief and Development Fund, and work in the area of social justice, amont other initiatives,'' continued Hunter.

CRAVEAbout Mark and KathyMark and Kathy grew up in Winnipeg in the neighbourhood of Fort Garry where Church of the Rock is located. They have been married for over 20 years and have grown children.Mark graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Agriculture in 1977 and ran the family owned farm for 10 years. It wasn't until his mid-twenties that he entered Bible School and then went on to study New Testament Greek at Providence Theological Seminary. Mark has also been involved in politics over the years and in 1993 ran as a candidate in the federal general election.In 1996 Church of the Rock began televising their services on Manitoba's 'A' channel. Since then they have expanded to include cities from coast to coast across Canada (See: Broadcast Schedule). Mark's practical and humourous style has struck a chord with audiences of all ages and has consistently led the ratings for religious programs in every broadcast region.Pastor Mark has a deep interest in the unity of the churches in Winnipeg and is respected as one of the principal leaders of a city-wide prayer movement.

After a year of being the interim pastor, Kim was called to the role of lead pastor at Braeside in the summer of 2008. Just prior to her pastoral work she had returned to school to complete theological studies earning a Master of Divinity degree. She and her husband Gerald have been long time members of Braeside Church. They have a daughter Ashley, married to Donavon, and a son Brandon.
