I have been going to chubby’s for about 32 years now and can’t say enough about the restaurant! My husband and daughter love the burgers and fish and I love their fish and Greek salad ? haven’t had their burgers but I have no doubt they are amazing! Although they're famous for their chicken, we'll be going back for their fish (and maybe try the chicken for my 'no way I'm eating fish' husband). My son and I were looking for a quick bite for lunch after doing some shopping at the nearby Scholars Choice and found this place. Smelled soo good. As we didn't see a lot of prices or labels, my son ordered the Portuguese sausage sandwich and I lingered over the windows filled with mountains of fish, rice, potatoes and was served by a very pleasant and helpful young man. I asked about a particular dish and ended up ordering the amazing looking and super delicious cod with a side of potatoes, The server put two layers of potatoes in a good sized container, covered it with the huge portion of cod and then he began spooning a loving amount of the yummy sauce over the dish. As it really isn't a sit down place, we were hungry and ate there. I paid less than $20 and was in heaven. My son enjoyed his sausage but will definitely order the cod next time. Was surprised to read about 'grumpy' servers. Ours even thanked us for coming on our way out. Maybe because it was in the early Friday afternoon, we saw that customers were served quickly (looked like they ordered huge quantities ahead) and courteously. Definitely going back for that cod. Pssst...I overhead the guy tell someone its only available Fridays and Saturdays.

I eat here when I stay at The Avenue Motel on Dundas. Always freshly made and very hot, the owner is a lovely Russian? lady and very nice. She's always there on her own! The halibut and chips are better than other fish places I've tried and much cheaper. Thank you for your great service and lovely food! Don't buy bottled water here - it tastes like grease lol.

This is Port Credit's best kept secret. At one time, another business, now closed, was considered the place to eat F & C. I always thought there was a better place. HERE IT IS! Has more to offer than F & C, and their food has less oil, than the other restaurants. Try this and I'll bet you will love it also!

It's a take out restaurant but it's just the best. So, so, so filling. And the price, I can't believe the prices. Anyways if you just want to chill and you're in the neighborhood of Bay and King Street West hit up Famous Recipe. I generally get the chicken Roti and he makes it as mild or as spicy as I want depending on my mood.
