We were first established in 1985 and later expanded from a Nursery School located at 1089 Dunbarton Road to a full day program that opened across the street in the Dunbarton-Fairport United Church. Blaisdale Montessori School, is a private Montessori School founded in 1969 by Mrs. Eleanor Wilson. It has a long and proud tradition as one of the first Montessori Schools in Canada. The principal of the School is one of the few principals in Canada who was trained directly from Mrs. R. Montessori. The school has 7 campuses throughout Ontario predominantly in the Durham and York regions. The schools are located in Pickering, Scarborough, Ajax Oshawa and Bowmanville.
