In 2005 Lisa Brown saw the need for another quality childcare centre in the Sussex area and began to pursue the idea. She acquired the required accreditation, found the right support staff and has been operating Lisa's Playhouse since 2007. A preschool that employs 13 people including her husband and services on average 60 children per week. Lisa's Playhouse is licensed through the New Brunswick of Social Development for a maximum of 39 spaces for children ages 15 months to 12 years old. Lisa has a new vision for the business. For the past few years Lisa has been researching and gathering information on a new way of pre-schooling through a forest preschool methodology, connecting children with nature. Lisa has always loved the outdoors and wants the children to have the same opportunities and experiences that she has had as a child.
