I have been a registered psychologist since 1980 and have worked in private practice since 1994, specializing in individual counseling with adults. I am skilled in treating a wide range of psychological issues including trauma (PTSD, early childhood abuse, post-accident), depression, anxiety, stress management, and life transitions. Early in my career, I realized that there was more to therapy than "just talk" and have completed training in many holistic therapies to deepen my work.

Most of us will experience some kind of challenge/conflict, change, loss, or just feeling stuck and off balance at some point in our life and in our relationships. Counselling can help you work through and resolve what you are struggling with, learn more tools and strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your partner, or your life. Working through issues and finding a healthy balance allows you to feel better about yourself and more energized. Couples counselling can help you and your partner improve not only your communication and resolve issues, but improve the quality of and enrich your relationship.

We collaborate with clients to identify and achieve effective, creative, and unique solutions in order to overcome the challenges they are facing. In working with couples, we try to make the process of counselling rewarding and enjoyable, for both partners by helping them to foster greater appreciation for each other while at the same time working to resolve areas of conflict. Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments available. Appointments are typically 60 minutes, although 90 minute sessions are also available.
