Silver Fern Landscaping is a husband & wife team with the ideal combination of education, training & experience. Karen undertakes the project design & Michael is responsible for building it. Karen obtained a BA in Geography from SFU & went on to study Horticulture at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She then got her Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from UBC and worked in the public sector as a Consultant & Environmental Planner in the Lower Mainland. Michael has a wide range of landscaping experience beginning in the 1980's, ultimately leading to the creation of his own landscaping business in 1997. He also has carpentry training from BCIT & worked for many years in the construction industry.
